“Well it was certainly an experience, the gig itself had the same feel as gigs in the UK; turning up to a club, listening out to the warm-up DJ, trying to get a feel of what these people go for. It was pretty much the same as a Simple night. Big bassy beats, a lot of break-downs, big build-ups and some loud siren noises did the trick for these people, anything with an edge would do... it seemed to be easy... although my nerves seemed to take over me so I necked a few Mad Dogs (cherry syrup, 95% vodka shot & Tabasco mixed in a very large shot glass); a mixture that neither Nick or I had experienced before, but it soon gave me the confidence to jump up in the DJ booth and spin a few :) A good night, with a great responsive crowd - me likey!”
