DJ’s
Headliner: Slide
Slide, under the management of Mike Conaghan and Matt Braddock, continues
to provide Oxford with the finest DJing talent around. Guests in 2002
included Dave Angel, Lottie, Gordon Kaye and Jamie Anderson, and saw the
return of our globetrotting friends Holden and Morris. Indeed,
Slide continues to find and nurture DJs of its own through The Mixing Shop
where residents Matt Braddock, Tonda (Cz), Ed Cotton, Sam Roake and Chibuku
Shake-Shake resident, Ben Morgan were all discovered.
“We have a music policy that spans the spectrum of quality House: deep,
tribal and tech, through to US House & Garage. Slide is run by music
lovers, all of whom have deejayed with the very best in the business.

We
provide Oxford with an alternative to Hard House and Trance and our aim is to
be regarded as one of leading underground nights in the country. Every
DJ that plays, loves it. Every night, the crowd are unbelievable.”
Slide re-launched on Friday, 27 October 2000 at The Zodiac, Oxford (a club
chosen specifically for its qualities as an underground venue - cracking sound
system, superb visuals, crowd all facing the DJ - a venue, in short, fit for
the Slide faithful!) The first few events saw headline sets from Parks &
Wilson, Anthony Pappa, Jason Bye, Nigel Dawson and Chris Fortier. The
atmosphere was exceptional.
Slide was back on the road!
