Live Band
Dogshow is brothers Laurie (drums / machines) and Sam Crombie (synths) with Venya Krutikov (lighting / visuals / gabbatron). The live techno band's sound is a fusion of dance music styles; past and present.
The band's history began when the Crombie brothers met Venya Krutikov and they realised their collective desire to put on parties. These were ambitious events, transforming large derelict buildings into hi-tech multi art-form raves, with as much focus on the visual side as the music. The parties quickly became legendary and helped form Dogshow's identity as the band's live performances started to encapsulate the vibe of the nights.
Dogshow's first gig was in front of a 700-strong crowd on New Year's Eve in 2006, and it kick started Dogshow's reputation as one of the most exciting live acts around. The following summer, they toured the UK's festivals (with The Techno Circus) playing at The Big Chill, Shambala and Workhouse, to name a few. The band then continued to play sell-out shows alongside the likes of Hot Chip, Kissy Sell Out, Friendly Fire and Filthy Duke. Currently based in the ‘Techno Clinic’ in Liverpool, Dogshow is preparing to release its productions on Kazimier22 records.
